Who is it for?
The LOM Leadership Training Event is a general overview designed
for all levels of camping professionals. All outdoor ministry staff
and those interested in pursuing a career in outdoor ministry are
invited to attend. The Program Event is not limited to Program
Directors, Executive Directors or Administrators are encouraged to
attend.
What is it about?
The Outdoor Ministry Leadership Training Events are designed to
educate outdoor ministry professionals in the basic, yet vital
areas of camp administration and program.
The Program Leadership Training Event will address 13 core
competency areas, keys for all outdoor ministry leaders working in
the area administration, striving to build strong, faith-based
organizations for camps, conference and retreat centers.
Sessions will give a broad overview of the topic. Participants will
come away with resources and ideas, as well as many questions!
Participants will also share together in worship, recreation and
fellowship. There will also be unstructured time for networking and
personal reflection. Enjoy learning and sharing the beautiful
environment of the Xavier Center
What is LOM?
Lutheran Outdoor Ministries (LOM) encourages, educates, equips, and
empowers bold and faithful outdoor ministry leaders for service in
the Church and the world.
LOM is an independent association of outdoor ministry
organizations, professionals, board members, businesses, and
students connected to Lutheran camping, conferences, and retreats.
LOM is closely connected to, but separate from ELCA Outdoor
Ministry.
